  • Norco and Breastfeeding

I am currently prescribed Norco 5/325 . I take up to 3 a day, mostly just 2. I am nervous to breastfeed and have started supplementing with formula. He is not tolerating the formula well. I would like to just solely breastfeed. Is it ok to breastfeed with this medication, without pumping and dumping? Any advice is appreciated . Thanks

Also baby is almost 3 months and weighs over 14 pounds.

    Hudwellmom:

Hydrocodone (NORCO) is used all the time in breastfeeding mothers and 3 five mg tablets a day is not too much. Just observe the infant for difficulty to arouse. It's really unlikely.
