  • Carbocaine and breastfeeding

I received carbocaine at the dentist today because they wouldn't give me lidocaine because they said it wasn't safe because of the epinephrine even though I told them it was. But anyway when can I breastfeed now? I'm reading that carbocaine has a longer half life? When should it be out of my breast milk?

Carbocaine is rated an L3-no data-probably compatible. Half-life is 1.9-3.2 hours, this medication stays pretty local, you can go ahead and breast feed now it should be ok.
