Dear Dr. Hale and Colleagues, I am an LC working with a mother of a newborn who is taking the following medications daily: Subutex 18 mg, Clonidine 0.1mg, Atarax 25 mg, Prozac 20 mg, Seroquel 100 mg, Effexor 150 mg, THC smoked 3 X a day. Realizing that all these medications have the potential for sedation, is there a point at which breastfeeding should not be recommended? The baby's provider and nurses are all feeling uncomfortable about this. Thank you in advance for your advice.
