  • Adrenal and Detox Supplements with 9 Month Old

Hello everyone! I‘m new to the forums and looking for help with my current situation. I went to see a naturopath to help with some postpartum issues and given two herbal supplements to take. The naturopath didn’t seem concerned with interactions between the herbs and my milk but I thought I’d ask here to be sure! I’m nursing my 9 month old several times a day.

    ”Adrenal Support” contains:
    -bitter melon fruit powder
    -stinging nettle leaf powder
    -wild yam root powder
    -gymnema leaf powder

    ”Digest & Detox” contains:
    -bentonite clay powder
    -peppermint leaf powder
    -licorice root powder
    -raw chicory root powder
    -burdock root powder
    -horsetail powder (whole plant)
    -chamomile flower powder

Any help at all would be sincerely appreciated!

    mcbd713,

There is insufficient reliable information available about the safety of these herbal medications during breastfeeding so we do not recommend them.
