I was wondering if it is ok to take while breastfeeding? The ingredients are natural and I know most things that are natural usually aren't an issue.
    Ingredient List:
    VITAMIN B6
    COCOA POWDER
    CHROMIUM
    SPIRULINA
    GREEN TEA EXTRACT
    NATURAL SOURCED CAFFEINE
    VANADIUM

Is there an issue with all these ingredients combined

    Dear honesty.noyce,

The RDA (recommended daily allowance) for pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is 2 mg daily for breastfeeding women. Pyridoxine readily transfers into breastmilk, and the amount of transfer is closely related to maternal intake; therefore, this medication should not be used in excessive doses greater than 40 mg per day. Cocoa powder and green tea contain caffeine. Caffeine during breastfeeding is probably safe. Observe for irritability and insomnia in the breastfed infant. Chronic intake of caffeine is not recommended during breastfeeding as it tends to accumulate in the infant's plasma in the neonatal period. There are some reports of reduced iron content in milk due to chronic caffeine intake. We recommend to not exceed 120 mg of caffeine daily to reduce the risk of untoward effects on the breastfed infant. The RDA of chromium is 200 mcg/day. Less than one percent of chromium is absorbed when taken orally. Spirulina is an herbal supplement, and there is insufficient data to safely recommend its use during breastfeeding. There have been some reports of developmental toxicity following exposure to vanadium compounds so would not recommend its use during breastfeeding. In summary, some of the ingredients in this product are concerning and depending on the amount of each ingredient the product contains may place the breastfeeding infant at risk for untoward effects.

    Sincerely,
