  • Pycnogenol

To assist in becoming pregnant, I was taking a host of antioxidants, including Pycnogenol. I forgot to stop taking this after finding out I was pregnant. I stopped taking this supplement yesterday after realizing this is what was recommended. I am now 8 weeks. Should I be concerned for birth defects?

Pycnogenol is just an extract of the bark of the French maritime pine tree. I don't think there's much risk associated with its use during pregnancty, but I would sure NOT recommend you continue to use it during your pregnancy since we don't know much about this product.
