    I recently visited with a new psychiatrist who also uses natural modes as well as medication. I am pregnant and want to be able to nurse my baby. Are the following safe/effective while pregnant and or nursing:
    SAM-E
    Magnesium
    L-Tryptophan
    5-HTP
    Thank you! If you have studies on these could you link them?

    These are probably OK, as long as you don't overdose. I'd be careful. My advice is to just the normal "prenatal vitamins". We know they are safe.
